Advisory Board

Each of the Funds managed by Intercontinental is served by an Advisory Board. The Advisory Board is available to each Fund and Intercontinental to consult and advise on prospective investment opportunities and ongoing management strategies. The Advisory Board convenes regularly and is available to Intercontinental's senior management on an as-needed basis.

Dr. Lou Moret

Dr. Moret brings over 30 years of experience in politics, administration and finance and has a diverse record of service on boards of for-profit and non-profit organizations. Dr. Moret served on the $230 Billion CalPERS Board of Administration, and has successfully completed the Directors Education and Certification Program at U.C.L.A.  Prior to joining CalPERS, he was the longest serving appointed member in the history of the Los Angeles Fire and Police Pension Board, where he gained a wealth of knowledge in the areas of finance and investment.

Jeremy Goldberg

Jeremy Goldberg is currently a Senior Vice President at StepStone, where he is responsible for providing client strategy, creating investment plans and portfolio oversight. Mr. Goldberg previously led the corporate finance and investor relations efforts at Associated Estates Realty Corporation, a multifamily REIT. His responsibilities included implementing capital market strategies and managing investor relationships. Mr. Goldberg worked on the sale of Associated Estates to Brookfield Asset Management. Mr. Goldberg began his career at Bank of America and then worked at AmTrust Bank. Mr. Goldberg holds an MBA from Case Western Reserve University and a Bachelor Degree from University of Michigan.

Jim Kottage

Mr. Kottage brings over 23 years of experience as a member of the International Association of Fire Fighters. Mr. Kottage represented Local 825 as President and Secretary/Treasurer, as well as District VP and Trustee for the UPFFA of Connecticut. He also served for many years as Trustee and Chairman for the New Haven Police and Fire Pension Fund. He currently volunteers for Linens of Love, Walter Camp Football Foundation and Porcini International. 

John Jarger

Mr. Jarger brings over 35 years of experience as a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America. Additionally, he has spent 23 years serving as a representative of the Chicago Regional Council of Carpenters, most recently as the Marketing Director.

As an active board member, Mr. Jarger has held various positions with the Metropolitan Builders Associate of Greater Milwaukee, The Builder’s Fund, St. Louis and The Building Trades United Pension Trust Fund in Wisconsin. 

Joseph Nolan

Joseph R. Nolan Jr. is Executive Vice President, responsible for overseeing Eversource Energy’s Customer Care and Corporate Relations organizations. This includes regulatory relations at the local, state and federal levels; communication services; media relations; community relations, customer service operations and strategy; and energy efficiency programs.  In 2015, Joe also led the company’s comprehensive brand change strategy and three-state rollout, bringing six operating companies together as one customer-facing brand: Eversource.

Joe joined Eversource in 1985 and served in various customer service and government affairs positions before becoming vice president of government affairs in 1999.  In this role, Joe was instrumental in obtaining support for company policies and positions from the state legislature, federal agencies and the Massachusetts Department of Telecommunications and Energy.

Joe has also served as vice president of Government Affairs, where he successfully directed the internal and external communications of electric restructuring and the sale of generating plants. After, he was responsible for all customer service in addition to Corporate Relations as senior vice president, Customer & Corporate Relations.

In addition to his Eversource responsibilities, Joe serves on the boards of directors of the New England Council, Boston Children's Hospital Trust, Sancta Maria Nursing Facility, the Francis Ouimet Scholarship Fund and the Camp Harbor View Foundation and the advisory board of Intercontinental Real Estate Corporation.  Joe is also active in the communications and government relations committees of the Edison Electric Institute and the American Gas Association.

Joe holds a master’s degree in business administration from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College, and a bachelor’s degree in communications from Boston College.  Joe and his wife Therese reside in Belmont, Massachusetts, with their four daughters Olivia, Hannah, Isabelle and Claudia.

Kevin P. Stringer

Mr. Stringer is the General Secretary Treasurer emeritus for the International Union of Elevator Construction (IUEC) and a retired member of IUEC Local 1, New York/New Jersey. Mr. Stringer's career in the elevator industry began in 1965. Currently, Mr. Stringer serves as a Union Plus Trustee for the AFL-CIO, an Advisory Board member for the Made In America Conference, and an Appointed IUEC liaison for the Global Conferences on Labor. 

Mayor John Agenbroad

Mayor John Agenbroad brings over 30 years of experience as a trustee, board member, and executive chair to various pension boards and labor councils including National Pension Fund GCC/IBT, Inter Local Pension Fund of Teamsters, Cincinnati ALF-CIO Labor Council, and Dayton AFL-CIO. Mayor Agenbroad has been the Mayor of Springboro, Ohio for 15 years, and also serves as a member of the Springboro Planning Commission, Finance Committee, Legal Committee, and Strategic Planning Committee. Mayor Agenbroad is a retired Marine and a Purple Heart recipient who now serves as State Commander and State Finance Officer of the Military Order of the Purple Heart. 

Michael B. Greenwald

Michael B. Greenwald serves as the Senior Vice President of Tiedemann Advisors. 

Greenwald is also a Belfer Center Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School's Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs.  Greenwald previously worked in senior roles within the United States Treasury in national security positions working with Africa, Europe, and serving as a financial diplomat in the Middle East spanning the tenures of U.S. Treasury Secretaries Geithner, Lew and Mnuchin. Most recently, he served as the first United States Treasury Attaché appointed to Qatar and Kuwait and opened the Treasury Department’s office in Doha, Qatar in August 2015. Prior to that role, Greenwald served as the United States Treasury Policy Advisor for Europe. In this role, he was appointed as the head of the United States Delegation to the Committee of Experts on the Evaluation of Anti-Money Laundering Measures and the Financing of Terrorism before the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, France and traveled to over 20 countries on behalf of the U.S. Treasury. 

Greenwald is Deputy Executive Director of North America Trilateral Commission. Greenwald serves as the Senior Advisor to the President and CEO of the Atlantic Council, Fred Kempe, and serves as the Special Advisor on International Affairs to the President and CEO of Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Dr. Laurie Glimcher. Greenwald is an Adjunct Professor at The Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University. He serves on the United States Holocaust Museum Next Generation Board, Aspen Institute Vanguard Society of Fellows, Co-Chairman of Atlantic Council Counselor Program, Susan G. Komen Foundation Board, and Boston University School of Law Dean Advisory Board. He is a board advisor to HALO Maritime Defense Systems, a marine engineering technology company and provider of advanced engineered solutions for the security needs of strategic maritime assets. Greenwald earned a Juris Doctor degree from Boston University School of Law, a Master of Arts from Boston University’s Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies, and a Bachelor of Arts in History from George Washington University where he competed nationally playing four years of Division I Squash. He is a graduate of St. Marks School in Southborough, Massachusetts and Fessenden School in Newton, Massachusetts.

Thomas P. O'Neill, III

Mr. O'Neill is the Chairman of O'Neill & Associates, a large government relations and public affairs firm. Mr. O'Neill is the former Lieutenant Governor of Massachusetts and a member of the Board of Trustees of Boston College.

Warren A. Henderson

Mr. Henderson is the founder and managing partner of Mosaic, a global consulting firm that identifies high potential, emerging alternative asset management and securities brokerage organizations and works with them to gain institutional business. Mosaic serves institutional investors by bringing new, innovative alternative investment managers and high potential securities brokers into the marketplace that provide new capacity, and by working with institutional investors to help them access these types of organizations. Before Mosaic, Mr. Henderson spent eight years as a Senior Principal of State Street Global Advisors where he was head of the Public Funds, Taft-Hartley and Health Care marketing group.
