We are currently seeking to fill the professional position Network Systems Administrator at our location in Boston, MA.  The position involves managing and supporting company-wide network systems and security. The specific responsibilities include:

Installing, configuring and maintaining networking equipment, software and services; ensuring system connectivity of all servers, shared software, groupware, and other applications; Acting as first tier help-desk support for resolving day-to-day employee issues, including user account management and maintenance; Constructing accurate reports which can be understood by a non-technical audience; Designing and performing server and security audits, system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the company’s disaster recovery and business continuity strategies; Performing routine network startup and shutdown procedures and maintaining control records; Maintaining and administering computer networks and related computing environments including computer hardware, systems software, and all configurations; Organizing and documenting all processes, procedures, solutions and network topology; Maintaining a broad knowledge of current and emerging state-of-the-art computer/network systems technologies, architectures, and products; as well as an understanding and ability to enforce security training procedures; instituting vulnerability scanning procedures to identify weaknesses within the security infrastructure, such as Qualys Scanning applications; Identifying the latest technologies to enhance user experiences; Performing data backups and disaster recovery operations; occasional local travel to branch offices required.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering or a closely related field.  The position also requires two (2) years of experience working with server/client infrastructures.

Special Requirements:

Any level knowledge of:

1.  Virtualized environments, specifically VMWare, Hypervisor, or Foglight to manage, monitor and restore data in our virtualized environment and an understanding of Dell SAN’s technology.; 2.  Business continuity / Disaster recovery based back up software platforms (such as Dell Rapid Recovery, Commvault and similar E-Vaulting software such as Eatel).; 3.  Data and mobile device security (such as Carbon Black, MaaS360, and Duo’s Multi-factor authentication).
