Michael F. Keyes is responsible for evaluating acquisition opportunities for Intercontinental sponsored funds.  In this role, he is responsible for opportunity identification and transaction execution.  He oversees investment underwriting and due diligence for potential acquisitions.  Mr. Keyes has over ten years of experience in the real estate industry and provides broad professional experience in commercial real estate disciplines including development, acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and asset management.  He is directly responsible for opportunity identification in New England, New York, and New Jersey for Intercontinental’s U.S. Real Estate Investment Fund, LLC.  In addition, he was responsible for identifying, structuring, and underwriting all of Intercontinental’s development projects throughout New England.

Prior to joining Intercontinental, Mr. Keyes was a member of New Boston Fund’s Acquisition Group where he focused specifically on office, industrial and mixed-use products in New England.  He conducted market and financial analyses, development and repositioning feasibility studies and valuations across a wide array of property types.  Mr. Keyes has also worked as a leasing broker with CB Richard Ellis/Whittier Partners for over five years.  As a broker, he leased over 1,000,000 square feet of suburban office, R&D and industrial product.

Mr. Keyes is active in several industry, community and non-profit organizations.  He has volunteered his time at several local organizations including Brown Sports Foundation.  He conducts alumni interviews and serves on industry related panels for both Brown University and the Tuck School of Business.  He is an active member of NAIOP and NAREIM.  Mr. Keyes holds a BA in Economics and American History from Brown University and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
